AP Reid and Intact presented a $3,000 cheque to Major Doug Binner today at the Burlington Community & Family Services office of the Salvation Army. Major Binner welcomed the donation and advised it will be used to support their food bank initiative of distributing food to more than 3000 area families throughout the year. They also provide Christmas gifts and toys to nearly 1000 children in need, bringing a warm smile, listening ears, practical guidance and a sense of dignity to those less fortunate in the community.
“We are thrilled to be supporting the Salvation Army’s work within our community and our Burlington office will become a permanently designated donation drop-off location. Supporting local initiatives is part of our organizations history and continues our commitment of giving back to the communities we live and work in,” says James Malcolm, Vice President of A.P. Reid (Ontario).
