Partnership with the Canadian Red Cross
“Exceeding Expectations” has been our slogan at A.P. Reid Insurance Stores for some time now – it guides every member of the A.P. Reid team, and it is our sincere promise to all our clients.
This principle is put to the test whenever there is an emergency, accident or disaster that affects one of our customers. It is our responsibility to give as much support as possible and help them get through the crisis as smoothly as we can. We pride ourselves on being the first line of response when our clients experience an emergency, and strive to Exceed their Expectations during this stressful time.
Even with all our efforts to respond to emergencies instantly, the Canadian Red Cross is already on scene day after day across our region whenever there is a fire, flood, major storm or other disaster. In fact, the Red Cross responds to hundreds of individual emergencies in Atlantic Canada every year. Whenever one of our clients has a house fire, flood or other disaster, there on the scene will be the Red Cross. They show up with emergency kits, food, cots, blankets, advice and a big heart.
We believe that the Red Cross has the same devotion to Exceeding Expectations that we do at A.P. Reid.
It is because of this shared commitment and their dedicated team of volunteers across our region that A.P. Reid has chosen the Canadian Red Cross to be our corporate charity partner and have committed to a minimum donation of $25,000 per year.
This contribution will be raised in part through our client service centres across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, which will collect donations from interested clients and community members. Our staff will also participate in the partnership through a variety of fundraising activities.
To help us reach our goal of $25,000, A.P. Reid Insurance Stores pledges to match the funds raised through many of our individual campaigns this year.
The Red Cross relies on volunteers to provide assistance during disasters, and they need help to buy the equipment and supplies they use to respond to emergencies. A.P. Reid’s staff is honoured to be associated with such compassionate and selfless people, and it is our privilege to contribute to the Red Cross mission in any way we can.
